ClearStart is a national organisation set up to provide free support to help people with serious debt problems. In particular the service is aimed to support the following categories of individuals or households: Those with multiple unsecured debts such as credit cards and personal loans, but unable to afford the minimum monthly payments. Those threatened with or considering bankruptcy, and looking for an alternative solution. Those looking to set up an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) to reach a final settlement of their debts.

ClearStart is authorised to advise on and set up a number of debt settlement services. In addition to the high volume internal insolvency department that deals with hundreds of IVA cases each month, there are a number of preferred partners who have been selected to handle other solutions such as debt management plans. For the majority of the debt settlement services ClearStart can provide a no-fees solution either internally through the insolvency department or through one of the preferred partners. There are also preferred partners who offer a professional paid service for a relatively low fee.
